When we think of our "Flaws", or Character Defects,
we think
that they could benefit no one and no thing. I don't believe this to be
true. I believe there is a Higher Power at work for everything. Our
character defects may be bad for us, but often they can help others. This
isn't a "Cop-Out", or to be used as one, though. It is my belief that a
Higher Power can help others grow from our Defects. It may as simple as
someone seeing something in us that they never want to experience or share with
anyone else. It instantly helps other to detour negative behavior.
Another positive thing may be that someone sees our defects and decides to set
more boundaries and limitations in life for what they will and will not accept,
adding our defect to the list. Of course, the overall goal is to create
more personal growth within ourselves, generating new progress. There are
some defects that remain dormant and return, head rearing high, from time to
time. Other defects just seem to troll around with us, challenging our
thoughts and actions daily. The challenge and knowledge or our defects
hopefully brings forth a decision to take action, and seek out those actions
which are necessary for our own personal growth in life. There is a new
found peace and serenity with the acceptance of our own defects attached to the
desire and knowledge of how to work the ones we process. Helping others,
helps ourselves. It creates some sort of magic that covers us with a Grace
matched by no other human award.
