Below is listed the Complete Serenity Prayer. Most of us
usually only use the first part of the prayer and it has paid off for years and
years! Just think how more powerful it could be if we used it all!
GOD, grant me the
Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to
change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.
Living ONE DAY AT A TIME;
Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as the pathway to
peace. Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will; That I
may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in
the next.
I pause, when agitated or doubtful, and ask God for the right thought
or action.
I humbly say to myself many times each day:
Thy will be done.

"AA has taught me that I will have peace of mind in
exact proportion to the peace of mind I bring into the lives of other people,
and it has taught me the true meaning of the admonition 'happy are ye who know
these things and do them.' For the only problems I have now are those I create
when I break out in a rash of self-will."
